Zine Dream.

Our buddies at Zine Dream have just opened up their first-come-first-served call for ziney vendors. This year's show is going down in August. Contact them for more details. Let's keep the dream alive, Toronto.

Let's Talk Business! (or Becky Gives a Chat in Brooklyn that Streams Online).

Attention, Citizens!

City of craft Ring Leader, Becky Johnson, will be speaking this Thursday at the Etsy Labs in Brooklyn, New York, on topics of offline indie craft business. That means craft fairs, retail, wholesale, travel and more! City of Craft will probably come up in the conversation and most of the talk will be driven by audience interest. Do you have some pressing questions about offline sales or the craft fair experience? Let 'em rip!

If it sounds a little far from home, do not fret. The whole thing will be streamed live online, too, so you can tune in from the comfort of your own home. You can even make crafts WHILE YOU WATCH. What could be better?

Read up on all the details on the Etsy blog here.

And we'll see you online or in Brooklyn at 7:00pm EST.

Jenny Hart's work Stolen in Toronto.

John the Baptist by Jenny Hart

Citizens, we have a problem. Long time City of Craft friend, supporter and sponsor, Jenny Hart of Sublime Stitching has had a terrible mishap in our fair city.

Two of her incredibly valuable original pieces were stolen from a recent show at the Drake called Wrap Your Head Around This. The larger question of how work like this could even go missing from a show is greatly eclipsed by Jenny's desire to get the work back. You can read more on Jenny's blog here. If you have any information about this, please please get in touch with her. She is putting forward a no-questions-asked policy.

Also, feel free to spread the word.

Jenny, Toronto is way better than this. We guarantee it.
